Ingredients and spices that need to be Take to make Fried rice with schezwan chilli chicken (gravy):
- Marination for chicken
- 1/2 kg Boneless chicken (cut in small strips/cubes)
- 1 tsp Salt
- 2 tbsp Soya sauce
- 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tsp Red chilli powder
- 1/2 tsp Black pepper powder
- 1 tbsp Ginger garlic paste
- 1 Egg
- 3-4 tbsp Cornflour
- Ingredients for gravy
- 2-3 tbsp Oil (can use the same oil used for frying chicken)
- 2 tbsp Ginger crushed
- 3-4 Red chilli whole
- 4-5 Green chillies small & big each (slit from mid)
- 3 tbsp Soya sauce
- 1/2 tsp Black Pepper
- 3 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 2 tbsp Vinegar
- 3-4 tbsp Chilli Garlic sauce
- 3 tbsp Ketchup
- Salt to taste
- 1.5 cups Chicken Stock (make out of chkn bones at home)
- 2 - 3 small Capsicum cubes
- 1 large Onion cubes
- 1-2 tbsp Cornflour (mix with 1/4 cup water.for gravy in the end)
Steps to make to make Fried rice with schezwan chilli chicken (gravy)
- Marinate chicken in all the above ingredients and rest for an hour or two. (section 1)
- Now deep fry the marinated chicken until it turn golden. Take out the fried chicken and keep aside.
- Heat oil, add ginger and garlic crushed, whole red chillies, green chillies and fry until aroma comes.
- Add fried chicken and all sauces and spices mentioned above. Stir for 2-3 mins then add chicken stock and let is cook for few mins.
- Now add all vegetables and cook for just 5 mins. In the end add cornflour mixture to make the gravy little thicker.
- Schezwan Chilli Chicken is ready to serve!
(*Usually the recipes includes sugar also but I didn't like sweet taste so didn't add) - In the recipe spring onion is also the ingredient but I didn't have it at that time
